Eating disorders are extremely dangerous, but yet between 7 and 10 million women and 4 million men have this disease. Why? Well, continue looking into the site, and see for yourself. Warning: While I will do my best to prevent any triggering things from appearing, I cannot completely hide everything. This is a site for those in recovery, or those who are thinking about recovery. Because, for these brave souls, they choose to live. They no longer want to live in the shadow of their fears.

My name is Michael, I'm 17, and I have had anorexia and bulimia for just over a year. Yes, I'm a guy, and no, I'm not gay. I love girls, I think they're the best thing that God created. But, over the past year, I've been in hospitals 17 times, wondering what the hell I was doing, confused, unable to think clearly. I wanted to live, but not by their standards. I didn't care what people thought, I wanted to lose weight. So I did. Read my story to find out more.

If you want, you can email me, and tell me what you think. Or, you can visit my livejournal, at http://www.livejournal.com/users/myshadowedtears/
